BlackBerry® Devices
The BlackBerry® is the device LongCall recommends most frequently to physicians. It is widely accepted as the device carried by first responders.
BlackBerry® devices are easy to use, reliable and remain a solid focused
messaging system. In addition, these phones support Bluetooth® for hands free
phone conversations. The Web Browser does allow for information look-up via the
web. When our email systems are used to send messages, they are usually
received within seconds. Web based medical information sites such as UpToDate can be easily accessed.

Palm OS® Based Devices
One of the greatest advantages to the Palm OS® is that it supports a large number of 3rd party applications. Through the use of our Goodlink server the Treo as well as other Palm OS® based devices can receive push email which essentially means that the email is on the device as soon as it is sent by the other party. This overrides the built-in pull email system. In the “pull” environment the recipient must request the device to retrieve email. Through the LongCall™ System you can have all the benefits inherent to the Palm OS® system while gaining the added benefit of automatic and instantaneous message retrieval. Programs such as Epocrates can be installed on this device.

Windows Mobile® Devices
Examples of phones that represent this class of device are the Treo™ 700w and the new Motorola Q™. With the use of our Hosted Exchange server the Motorola Q™ truly becomes a full featured smart phone. Contacts, email, tasks are all synchronized over the wireless network. When the LongCall™ email systems are used to send messages, they are usually received within seconds. Windows Mobile® is best for the user that wants an experience similar to that of their laptop, but on a smaller scale. Programs such as Epocrates can be installed on this device.
